When searching for things to do in West Wales you might think your choices are limited, but fortunately, our dog-friendly holiday park is surrounded by plenty of incredible options for food, entertainment, and exploration!
If you’re looking for something to eat, several local pubs offer up classic menus and some for those with more adventurous tastes. The Daffodil Inn offers stunning food with a warm welcome for dogs is surrounded by stunning scenic drives and is neatly located between Newquay Beach and Llandysul.
The Ferry gastropub has a relaxed setting in which your furry friends are always welcome and has been a family-run business since 2010.
If you’re looking for a fantastic experience on the Quay in Cardigan, then Pizza Tipi offers woodfired handmade pizzas, breads, cakes and more with some local Welsh Craft Beers in a riverside courtyard throughout Easter until the end of October. You can find out more here!
One of the best parts of our West Wales holiday park is the amount of incredible natural beauty, woodlands, and beaches that surround us. Whether you don’t want to stray too far from base or want to go on a real adventure, there are several dog-friendly beaches and adventures to be had.
A short 15-minute drive away is the incredible Penbryn Beach, with a dog-friendly cafe at the car park and a year-round woodland footpath for dogs to play on! Dogs are not permitted on the beach between May and September sadly, but there is a stream where they can take a splash!
Aberporth Beach is another great place to splash, with two areas known as Dyffryn “big beach” and Dolwen “little beach”. These are separated by the tide, but are perfectly safe and sheltered with plenty of kayakers, swimmers and more choosing to use this beach! Dogs can run around all year round on Dyffryn Beach, but there are restrictions during the summer months on Dolwen Beach. Find out more here.
